In her work Friederike explores archetypes, mythology and symbols, always looking for shared values and meanings extending beyond geographical and cultural borders. Her work transcends physical boundaries and delves into the metaphorical dimensions that connect us all. Exhibiting her creations internationally, she had the privilege of exploring the paradoxes and profound relationships between art and life.Friederike believes in the unlimited power of creativity, curiosity, and arts. That is why, apart from creating and exhibiting her arts across the world, she also works as an educator, collaborating with different NGOs specializing in supporting people from all walks of life.With a playful approach that blends collage, textile art and participatory photography, she creates inclusive and supportive workshops for people with different cultural and social backgrounds.

Kasia Kowalska

Explorer of stories

Kasia is an educator and youth worker passionate about storytelling in different forms - creative writing, photography, and filmmaking. She supports those who are unheard in their journey of reflecting on their life stories, finding their unique voice, and sharing their experiences with the world. For more than 10 years Kasia has been working with young people at risk of exclusion - migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, and people with disabilities - helping them gain more confidence and teaching them how to use creativity to unleash their potential.As an experienced educator, Kasia actively shares her knowledge and skills with other professionals, conducting training of trainers in photography and filmmaking for youth workers and activists, teaching them how to design non-formal educational activities that are creative, engaging, and playful. She also develops professional educational materials for trainers, including online courses and tool kits on storytelling and youth work.Kasia is a co-founder and president of Upstream Stories - an international NGO specializing in participatory media methods that focuses on promoting personal stories of those whose voices are not presented in the mainstream media.
